General Description

eRIC II is the first remote management solution optimized as low profile card for usage in 1 U and 2 U computer systems as well as for usage in standard PC systems. Thanks to the onboard graphic chip the eRIC II is ideal for applications necessitating very high video quality.

eRIC II allows the complete remote administration of your system, especially:

• remote control of your PC in any operating status, even when booting, even in BIOS and with Blue Screens
• remote on/off as well as remote hard reset
• virtual floppy drive for remote BIOS updates or booting of an emergency operating system

All eRIC-models have the following features:

• all data between eRIC and user is encrypted
• no additional driver is necessary on the remote host
• independent from the brand of the system, the operating system and the BIOS - manufacturer
  no special client necessary on the administration PC, control over web-browser
• independent user administration
• support of the system management standard IPMI

Compared to the standard version of eRIC the eRIC II card has the following variation in its technical specifications:

• low profile form factor
• mouse control either over PS/2 or USB
• 4 MB graphic chip on board
• virtual floppy via USB emulation
